This course is adapted from the text " Living Life As A Joyful Being; be ready for whatever life brings!" by author Joy Jangdhari
In this program, we will talk about Emotional Intelligence which strengthens emotional resilience, facilitates well-being, and improves stress responses in a health care setting. It is specifically designed to bring about positive and permanent shifts in the quality of clinician's life and the lives of their patients.
How to "win the game of life" deals with how the mind projects thought and process it.
Do you know what it means to understand your own way of daily living? To see the truth and false of it.
Today I would like to discuss and address creative solutions for physical, mental, and emotional well-being to build a solid foundation within.
Expanding the minds of human beings' perception by knowing the science and understanding the challenges of thoughts, emotions, feelings, and beliefs. We learn to identify our own programing and conditioning for self-regulation ( the ability to controls one's internal stress response as well as one's emotional response.)
You are a stream of thoughts.
Without this awareness and control of your mind, you surrender your own judgments.
You let the mind decide for you.
The Art of Counseling "Know Thyself"
Knowing your own beliefs, fears, reactions and desires allows you to become a better impartial spectator.
In my mind, the purpose of education is to enable human beings to develop to their full potential, which means the people have to be empowered to pursue self-knowledge and the skills that will help them be of service to their fellow human beings.
Education should bring out the full potential of human beings so they can develop their lives to their highest caliber.

RATIONALE
The relationship with self is the beginning of all relationships.
Providing participants with a general overview of the program will increase the excitement and enthusiasm about participating.
I have discovered in my own life that a commitment to my own spiritual growth and emotional well-being is supported by my body. If we don't nurture our bodies, our evolution as a person is hampered.
Our body is our physical self. It is the instrument with which we are able to experience and express our essence in reality. It is the part of us that is able to carry out the actualization of our dreams. If our body is the vehicle our essence, then the efficiency with which the vehicle works determines the level at which our body supports or does not support our opportunity to experience life.
As a vehicle, the human body has had to be virtually indestructible, We ignore it, batter it around, we keep it up late, get it up early, we pour quarts and pounds of the worst kind of fuel into it, then we dress it up in restrictive clothing and run it like crazy. We take much better care of our automobile, which we can trade-in than we do of our body, which we cannot. Most of us have a relationship with our body in which we experience being separate from it, and we do everything we can to maintain the separation. We keep it drugged, anesthetized, alcoholized, and filled with whatever else we can stuff into it to keep it from making its presence felt. As a society, we are overfed and undernourished. The chemicals, poisons, and preservatives that are put into our food to keep it from spoiling in the supermarket, also keep it from being easily broken down by our digestive system, which has the task of making the nutritive value of food available to our bodies, As a result, the food produces toxins, which adversely affect not only our physical well-being but also our emotional and spiritual well-being.
The secret of going all the way
A lot of people make a commitment to their own well-being and find that they can get only so far along in their process. They get it together at some level., but it seems to go no farther. The reason often is that while we can, make a commitment to our own well-being, if that commitment does not include a commitment to bringing our own body chemistry into some kind of sensible balance, we are limiting ourselves.
Most people think that if they eat poorly, they will experience unpleasant side effects at some future time down the road, And that is true, It is also true that there is a short-term, right now kind of catastrophe that takes place which we somehow miss completely. It is probably the saddest by-product of all.
The short-term, immediate result of being separated from our body is this: The body is an extremely sensitive instrument. It is technology at its highest form. The body is equipped with a highly sophisticated receiving and transmitting capability. When our body chemistry is out of alignment, when we are separated from our body, many of the channels of information that the body could make available to us are shut down and lost to us. And we don't even notice it.
All the signals the body is capable of sending us to help us navigate the waters of our life, all the signals about the world and the universe around us are lost when we are not in tune with our body.

Know Thyself- overcoming mental and emotional traps.
The relationship with "self" is the beginning of all relationships.
All society is based on relationships.
There is no society if there is no relationship, society then becomes an abstraction.
What determines the quality of a relationship than anything else?
What determines the quality of a relationship than anything else is the level of emotional fitness.
the basis of emotional fitness has to do with your psychology.
Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions especially those affecting behavior in a given context.
The ability to manage thoughts, emotions, feelings, and beliefs are all important aspects of relationship management.
STRESS IS A CONDITION OF ANXIETY CAUSED BY AN INABILITY, TO COPE WITH A SITUATION. IT DOES NOT EVEN HAVE TO BE TRUE, ONLY THOUGHT OR ASSUMED TO BE.
STRESS AND PRESSURE ARE NOT ONLY TERMS TO EXPRESS YOUR EMOTIONAL FEELINGS, THESE THINGS ARE ACTUALLY HAPPENING IN YOUR BODY
.
Stress and anxiety is a worldwide epidemic that the World Health Organization has predicted as the number one disease in 2020. However, the spread of the disease can be reduced by giving people adequate information.
Anxiety happens when a person has a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.
Stress generally refers to two things: the psychological perception of pressure, on one hand, and the body's response to it on the other hand, which involves multiple responses to it.
A lot is going on inside your head and your brain and its complex processes and even manipulating your emotions.
In other words, there's way more behind that angry feeling than the car that just cut you off.
Most (much) is involved in interpreting emotional circumstances and crafting your responses to them and your brain is affecting how you feel and how you respond to those feelings in a way you've probably not even aware of.
This leads us to ask, whats
s going on up there, and just how is your brain influencing your emotions?
- Your memories drive and inform your emotions
- Your brain's hemisphere keeps your emotions in check.
- Different parts of your brain are responsible for different emotions
- Brain chemicals dictate your mood
- Your brain perceives and acts upon emotional stimuli
Mind,-body- Emotion and Energy
It's a key to good health and well-being physically and mentally.
If we don't deal with pain when it occurs, it will resurface as compounded emotional toxicity later on...showing up as insomnia, hostility, anger, fear, or anxiety.
As a further complication, if you don't know how to deal with feelings of anger and fear, you're likely to turn them inward at yourself, believing, "it's all my fault".
That guilt depletes our health, mentally,. emotionally and physically energy until any initiative or moment feels impossible. We feel exhausted and paralyzed, leading to depression.
Technology for your Psychology course is a six-hour course with 6 modules designed to educate health care professionals on the updated science when psychology meets biology.
We can learn to recognize painful emotions right away and how to effectively metabolize pain mentally, emotionally, and physically.
We are wired in a certain way of thinking, acting, and believing. Most people who are living in stress and anxiety are really living in the mind-body of survival.
Learning to deal with stress / letting it go completely
Learning to deal with stress / letting it go completely
Everyone has stressed out Parents, Children, Elderly.
Stress causes a lot of dis-ease and depression in the body. Physical disease, backache, chronic fatigue anxiety.
What does it indicate when we are stressed out?
When we are stressed out we believe it is coming from the external something outside of ourselves. We think it is someone else that is causing the stress in our life.
We can blame stress on a number of people, places, or things in our life from our Bosses to our family members to our surroundings or the situations that we are in.
What keeps us from being happy is the disharmony that is with us, which causes obstruction.
Through these obstructions, disharmony is created within us and is the cause root of dis-ease.- Hidden conflict
- Unacknowledged pain
- Despair
- A deep feeling of alienating
- Loneliness
- Emotional trauma
- Mental disturbance
- Anxiety
- Grief
Example Work: The boss comes into the room and you start to tighten up getting stressed with what has to be accomplished.
Why is it that some people can stay calm and not have things stress them out as much as others and some people blow up and tense up when the same situation is presented to them?
This is an indicator that the situation itself is not producing the stress but rather the response to the situation that is causing the stress.
We believe that we have no choice when we are in a stressful situation you think to yourself this is a stressful situation and get angry.
Your mind is creating the stressful situation it's not the situation itself that's producing stress rather your response to it.
So the next question would be how is it you're responding to the situation that produces the stress?
What is happening and what we want to happen is the tension that arises.
When we want something to happen and instead something else happens we reject it in our minds we become unhappy and it gets stuck and trapped in a state of being unhappy. Feelings of unknowledgeable anger.
Anger a feeling of depart has just raisin.

Introduction for first hour
Introduction for first hour
Do you feel you're the main character in your life?
or Do you feel like you're in a battle with all the things outside of you demanding your time, attention, and presence? Maybe a little of both.
Very often we are not consciously aware of the psychological and mental models that guide our perception and behaviors.
They are the thinking tools that you use to understand life, make decisions, and solve problems.
This workshop is designed to empower and inform you of your most valuable real estate "YOU"
Positive Purpose
- Your outlook on life: becoming accountable for oneself.
Mental Models
Mental Models
Mental models are deeply held internal images of how the world works, images that limit us to a familiar way of thinking and acting. Very often, we are not consciously aware of our mental models or the effects they have on our behavior.
We will look at some mental models that have supported some of our beliefs.
Through self-study, you will deepen your awareness of your thoughts, words, and actions. You will create the awareness and balance of a clear and understanding mind.
Through this process, you will gain the courage, aliveness, and creativity to touch move, and inspire yourself and others.
The Mind your most important companion
The Mind your most important companion
Every human being who wants to excel and develop the character and caliber that upholds the value of the soul needs a direct fundamental relationship.
- The mind is subtle and interwoven throughout our life, our problems, and our excellence
- The mind is tangible, practical, and always with you. You can affect it in many ways.
- Either your mind is under your or you are under your mind.
- Whenever you are subjected to your mind, you act and become inferior.
- You begin to say I can't help my feelings, I can't understand it, I can't believe myself. And at that time you did not use your mind to relate to your soul and vastness.
- You reacted under the mind and its attachments to your personality, ego, and environments. You are subjected to your mind.
It is the basis of computations and is the basis of memory in our minds.
Socrates said "Know Thyself"
Socrates said "Know Thyself"
This quote once again reinforces how healthy we respond to our life experiences which is based on how well we know ourselves.
What determines the quality of a relationship than anything else?
What determines the quality of a relationship than anything else is the level of emotional fitness.
- The model of your world
- The way you interpret what things mean because meaning produces emotions.
- The illusion is something that makes us feel a certain way.
- The belief of how to respond.
- The emotion itself is triggered within you.
The basis of emotional fitness has to do with your psychology.
Technology - The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes.

The temporal lobe contains the emotional engine of our brains.
It's the center of all of our feelings.
Rage, lust, anger, passion, bliss. Anything that stimulates that part of the brain can elicit those feelings.

Working with Consciousness
Working with Consciousness
The crisis is in our consciousness. A very few of us realize that. The crisis is in our minds and heart. Our consciousness is our whole existence with our beliefs with our conclusions, with our nationalism, with all the fears which one has, the pleasures The insoluble problem of sorrow.
(5) J. Krishnamurti - Amsterdam 1981 - Public Talk 1 -
What keeps us from experiencing truth, bliss consciousness is obstructions both obvious and subtle. And through these obstructions, disharmony is created within us.
- Hidden conflict
- Unknowledgeable suffering
- Despire
- The deep feeling of alienation
- Loneliness
- Emotional Turmoil
- A feeling of separation that lodges itself as meant illness
Remember, those thought patterns, beliefs, stands, habits, and "buttons" did not form overnight.
The act of becoming conscious of this process to begin to become more aware of how you think how you act and how you feel is called metacognition.
Why is that important?
Because the more conscious you become aware of those unconscious states of mind and body.
The less likely you will go unconscious during the day.
A mind that is free
A mind that is free
A mind that is Free
Today we will explore together, we are sharing our explorations together because there is no authority. Though the speaker sits on the platform because it's convenient.
People can see. The platform doesn't give her any authority, and it does not accept any authority.
We are together and we mean together, explore and find out for ourselves together if there is any meaning to life at all any depth to life at all or merely, a passing event in a long series of historical processes.
To explore in any field, there must be freedom. freedom to examine, so that in that very examination, there is no distortion. When there is distortion there is a motive behind that distortion. A motive to find an answer, a motive which you would like to have or which you think will solve our problems.
A motive that may be based on past experience, past knowledge, and all knowledge is the past.
And if there is any motive there must be distortion. Can our mind which is our common mind because we have the same content in our consciousness.
All human beings go through this process of fear, agony, torture, anxiety. and endless conflict inwardly and outwardly.
And that is the common consciousness of mankind.
So when you examine your own consciousness, you're looking into the consciousness of man.
And therefore it is not a personal examination or the contrary, you are looking into the consciousness of the world.
which is you, which is a fact if you go into it very deeply.
So a mind that is free, which is a tremendous demand, that demands that you as a human being are committed to total to the transformation of the content of consciousness.
Because the content makes the consciousness.
And we are concerned with the transformation, with the total psychological revolution of this consciousness.
And to explore it you need great energy. And that energy comes into being when there is no dissipation of energy.
One dissipates through trying to overcome what is, ti deny what is, to escape from what is, or analyze what is.
Because the analyzer is the analyzed.
The analyzer is not different from that which he analyses.
When you're envious or angry or greedy whatever it is.
When you analyze the process of greed, the analyzer is, himself, greed.
That which he analyses is not separate from him. And this is the fundamental reality.
What is the meaning of all this existence?
Research on Emotional and Social Intelligence was popularized in (1998) by Daniel Goldman. EI is the best predictor of work and life success.
It is used to measure job satisfaction, organizational commitment, turn over and performance.
There are five major components that are comprised in E.I.
- Interpersonal processes including self-awareness
- Interpersonal processes that include skills of empathy and social responsibility
- Stress management involving problem-solving and reality testing skills.
- The adaptability that enhances stress tolerance and impulse control and finally
- General mood control denominating happiness and optimism in day-to-day living.
In our time together
In our time together
we will examine how thoughts, emotions, feelings, and beliefs can cause chemical reactions that can promote depression, anxiety, and stress as well as internal balance and Joy.
There will be demonstrations of a few good moves to manage the emotional impact of stresses, difficulties, and trauma and information to help us become resilient.
Healing the Numbness
Healing the Numbness
What does resilience mean?
What does resilience mean?
In essence, being resilient means being able to adapt and bounce back when something difficult happens in our lives.
It is the ability to once again pick ourselves up after trauma or painful position and we feel as if things are going from bad to worse, it can be very difficult to find our balance and regain stability.
We need to optimize our lives and be at our highest caliber in this hyper-connected world, always on the go with great pace and intensity.
As we know to transform the world, we must first transform ourselves and our own lives.
Resilience
Resilience
Resilience is important for several reasons; it helps us to maintain balance in our lives during difficult or stressful periods, and can also protect us from the development of some mental health difficulties and issues.
Benefits of becoming more resilient:
Benefits of becoming more resilient:
- Reduced use of risk-taking behaviors such as excessive drinking, smoking, or use of drugs.
- A lower rate of mortality
- Increased physical health
- Improvement in learning and academic achievement
- Lower absences from work or study due to sickness
The lack of resilience
The lack of resilience
The lack of resilience can lead to:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Violent behaviors
- Stressed relationships
- Drug dependency
Mental models
Mental models
Very often we are not consciously aware of our perceptions and behaviors.
How do you see your world?
Mental modes can help shape behavior and set approaches to solving problems similar to personal algorithms.
The image of the world around you, which you carry in your head is just an image in your head.
No one imagines all the world. He has only selected concepts and the relationships between them and uses those to represent the real system.
What keeps us from experiencing Truth, Bliss, Consciousness?

Many of us are familiar with the words "to thine own self be true" from William Shakespeare's Hamlet, but we may not be as familiar with the rest of that sentence.
Shakespeare says when we have integrity with ourselves by being true to ourselves we will then, by default, have integrity with others and the world around us.
Integrity with yourself is the matching of your "inside with your"outside".
when "how we are" "who we are" inside: There is an inner conflict and contradiction.
This can bring on stress and emotional pain.
Physical illness and chronic health conditions may even result from the physiological impact of the ongoing stress.
First, you need to acknowledge your conflicts and contradictions and your relationship with yourself.
There is no judgment here, this process is simply about awareness.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
YOU WILL NEVER REACH FULL POTENTIAL WITHOUT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
YOU WILL NEVER REACH FULL POTENTIAL WITHOUT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Developing Emotional Intelligence: The more we develop our EI, the more we understand the roots of our own perspectives and behaviors.
It then becomes easier for us to understand the reactions and behaviors of others.
- Emotional intelligence is responsible for 58% of excellent job performance.
- 90% of the top performers have high emotional intelligence.
- High emotionally intelligent individuals make $29,000 more per year than their low emotionally intelligent counterparts.
Let's look at what E.I. means: E.I. is the ability to perceive emotions, to access and generate emotions so as to assist thought, to understand emotions, and to regulate emotions so as to promote emotional and intellectual growth.
Emotional Intelligence improves Self- Awareness- defined as understanding moods and emotions both your own and others and acting appropriately in reaction to them.
Emotional Intelligence provides Balance- we define this concept as living your best life. and what we mean by that is remembering that there is more to like than midterms, Acing the SATs or prestigious college degrees, Sometimes it's the straight-A students that need this reminder the most!
EI provides Self-Regulation which is the ability to use rational thinking to override disruptive emotional impulses.
People with strong self-regulation skills adapt easily to new situations, display calm in the face of adversity, and inspire confidence in others.
On the basic level, this can mean new techniques for problem resolution.
When you are self-regulating you are empowered to take more risks that it is okay to fail and that failure promotes growth.
